3 Fun Kitchen Changes

It is the heartbeat of your home and everyone passes through it.

You fix coffee and breakfast there. Snacks, lunch, and dinner require your presence in this room. You may not even be doing anything food related, but you probably find yourself in this room more often than any other room of the house.

It is the kitchen.

Every time you are in the kitchen, do you notice all the things that bug you about the space? Continue reading “3 Fun Kitchen Changes”

Adding a Lining to a Store Bought Curtain

Window coverings were never a priority.

Inexpensive mini-blinds, solid-color blackout curtains to keep the sun from waking you in the morning, or a sheet tacked above the window. Really, anything functional and providing privacy was sufficient even if it wasn’t pretty.

I’m writing about spray painting.

Applique Smooth Edges on a Curve

“What the heck,” I thought as I looked at my work. “You can do better than that!”

Some background information…

There are now six grandchildren ages 5 to 24. Mom made each of them a baby quilt when they were born. Then she made (or will make) them another quilt on their 5th, 10th, and 15th birthdays.
